LOCAL 104 PURCHASES NEW TRAINING FACILITY

The Members of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 104 purchased the property at 86 Lower Westfield Road in Holyoke to serve as its new training facility.  The 18,000sf+ building was previously a Sears Automotive Center and is more than double in size of the current facility.  After an extensive remodeling, the building will feature a hands on training area of over 8,000sf, a 1,200sf weld shop, 4 classrooms, an assembly, and much more. Construction started in January and is projected to be finished by July with the 2020/21 school year officially opening the building.

LOCAL 104 IN THE COMMUNITY

The Harmony House reached out to Local 104 looking for much needed help with their project in Chicopee.  The Harmony House provides compassionate care for terminally ill individuals within a comfortable, loving, home-like environment at no cost to the family. Always looking to give back to the community Local 104 stepped up and sent our 3rd Year Apprentice Class there to help. Our 3rd Year Apprentices with Instructor Matt O'Brien roughed the plumbing in for the house and will install all of the fixtures and finish. This project will have a great impact on the community for many years and we're proud to have done our part.   Harmony House is always looking for help with their mission, please visit their site and see if there is anything you can do.  https://www.harmonyhousewma.org
